"Black&Blue is written about the mark of my first love. We were children, 13 & 14, fickle and innocent in love. Also my first heartbreak, as it goes. The midsection poem was written later, at Mission: Wolf, Colorado, where I moved through love and loss again, almost 10 years later.

This will be on my very first upcoming album, most of which was written while I was at Mission: Wolf and the seasons of life that immediately followed - Madi Laughlin
